For a considerable period in the past, high-value consumables, like drugs, were not transparent in pricing. The same consumable product had different prices in different provinces and regions, becoming a breeding ground for corruption. Since last year, the National Healthcare Security Administration has frequently taken measures to guide the nationwide price linkage work and initiated the inter-provincial price rectification of "four same drugs". However, there is no unified planning for the nationwide price linkage of high-value consumables.

However, with the recent centralized rectification of high-value consumable prices in multiple provinces, the long-standing price chaos is coming to an end.

"Who's cake is being threatened by the 'national minimum price'?"

Jianzhi Bureau has noticed that besides Xinjiang, Beijing, Shandong, Guangdong, Sichuan, Guangxi, Shanghai, Hebei, Gansu, and other regions have also carried out price rectification for high-value consumables.

Fujian Province, Sichuan Province, Shaanxi Province, Hebei Province, Guangdong Province, and other provinces have explicitly required enterprises to truthfully declare the lowest price for online listing at the provincial level nationwide. In case of false declaration, serious offenders will be subject to dishonesty punishment.

Taking Liaoning Province as an example, after the issuance of the "Notice on Organizing the Price Rectification of Certain Medical Consumables", the new procurement prices for consumables have been implemented since February 20th. This involves 1,087 types of consumables, with some products seeing their prices drop from several thousand yuan to just tens of yuan.

For some enterprises that have not reduced prices, have not implemented rectifications in place, and still have a sales expense ratio greater than 50%, further supervision and rectification will be urged.

Under the price linkage notice for medical consumables issued in Jiangxi Province, major medical consumable companies such as Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, Roche Diagnostics, and Siemens have been included. The maximum price reduction for medical consumables has reached 99.95%, with over 1,500 medical consumables experiencing a price reduction of more than 99%, and over 59,000 medical consumables experiencing a price reduction of more than 50%
